We are less than six hours away from the NBA Free Agency frenzy and I couldn’t be any more excited for the madness to begin.
There’s about two times of the year where you find yourself activating alerts from when Adrian Wojnarowski aka Woj (@WojVerticalNBA) sends out a tweet; Trade Deadline and Free Agency. Celtics fans have been anxiously waiting to see a Woj tweet that mentions a trade with Paul George has gone through and we all want to see “Gordon Hayward has come to agreements with the Boston Celtics,” as well. There’s a whole mess of anticipation coming from this year’s free agency especially because depending on how this goes, we could potentially see an NBA finals appearance this year.
I don’t want to get ahead of myself here but if we land PG13 and Hayward, I don’t see why we can’t see and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference finals. After potentially beating them, PG would see that there’s something special in here in Boston and would sign an extension with us and let the youth (Brown, Tatum) develop themselves as well and we’d have a stupid starting 5 with a strong bench.
Danny Ainge holds all the right cards in his hand and if he plays thems correctly then we could see banner #18 in Boston in less than 3 years. That’s my prediction.
